What DPPLogic provides

Version
service-2026-10-13.1
Effective date
13 October 2026

DPPLogic is online software that helps a product team prepare the product data and supplier evidence needed for an EU Digital Product Passport, review it, and export a reviewed dataset. It supports your preparation work. It does not certify compliance, give legal advice or publish passports.

1. What DPPLogic is

DPPLogic is a web-based workspace for preparing Digital Product Passport (DPP) data, provided by Ryan Jarvis trading as DPPLogic. Your team records products, sees which required information is still missing, tracks what it needs from suppliers and manufacturers, reviews the evidence behind each value, and prepares an internal, reviewed passport dataset that you can export.

The workspace is at https://pilot.dpplogic.com/workspace/. It is offered to businesses and organisations only.

This page describes the service as it is today. It forms part of the DPPLogic Terms of Service (https://pilot.dpplogic.com/legal/terms/).

2. What is included

Every plan, including Free, includes all of the following features.

Organisations and team access: separate organisation workspaces with owner, admin, manager, contributor and viewer roles. People join an organisation with a one-time invitation code that an owner or admin passes on to them directly.

Products and DPP preparation: product records with product facts, the source wording and units, entered one at a time. On Professional and Business, products can also be imported from a CSV file (see Team, bulk and governance tools).

Readiness workflow: an assessment of each product against a requirement pack, showing which information is present, missing or in conflict.

Requirements and gaps: a tracked gap for each required field that is not yet supported, with its status and decision history.

Actions and follow-ups: owners, due dates, follow-ups and internal requests, with personal (My Work) and team work queues.

Supplier and manufacturer information tracking: supplier records, supplier contacts, information requests for one product at a time (with a response sheet the supplier can fill in) and correspondence templates. You send requests yourself, outside DPPLogic, and record them as sent. Responses are recorded by a member of your team; on Professional and Business, a filled response sheet can also be imported, or the supplier can answer through a secure response link, and those answers arrive as proposals that wait for review (see Team, bulk and governance tools).

Evidence references: a web link (HTTPS address) or a description of where the evidence is held, with validity dates and a reviewer. Evidence files stay in your own systems.

Human review: separate review decisions for evidence, values, gaps and passport data, with conflict detection (including unit conversion) and evidence expiry tracking, and a review queue that shows one item at a time with its context.

Passport dataset preparation: versioned passport drafts, review, and internal READY packages (see What READY means below).

Exports: JSON and CSV export of your organisation's current records, and JSON export of READY packages.

Change management: manual change checks, version comparison and an in-app notification inbox.

Audit history: every change to a record is kept as a revision showing who made it and when, together with access and billing events.

Dashboard, search and saved views.

3. Team, bulk and governance tools (Professional and Business)

Professional and Business plans also include the following tools. Business includes the same tools as Professional, with higher limits.

Catalogue import: create and update products from a CSV file, up to 2,000 rows and 1,000 KB per file. Every row is checked and shown to you before anything changes, and products are matched only by your own product reference. Nothing is written until you confirm; then every row shown is written, or none is. The file itself is not stored: the import is recorded with the file name, its SHA-256 fingerprint, the counts and the records it created. Values, evidence and review decisions are never imported.

Independent review: an owner can require that nobody accepts information they recorded or changed. It applies to evidence, product values, the use of evidence in a market context, passport reviews and internal READY decisions. The owner can switch back to standard review at any time, and every change of policy is recorded with its reason.

Multi-product requests: one request to a supplier or manufacturer covering up to 25 products, with each product and each item tracked separately.

Supplier response import: record a supplier's filled response sheet (CSV). Each answer becomes a proposed product value, with the source the supplier named recorded as evidence, and both wait for review. Nothing is accepted automatically. Answers are matched to requested items only by the references on the sheet; any other row waits for you to choose its item, or is left out.

Secure supplier response links: share a secure link so a supplier or manufacturer can answer a request without a DPPLogic account. A link covers one request (for one product, or a multi-product request) and shows only your organisation's name, the supplier's name, the request reference, the products concerned (name and your product reference), the requested items not yet completed after review and whether each has already been answered (never the answer itself), the reply date you set, the link's expiry date and your message. You create it once the request is recorded as sent. It works for 7, 14 or 30 days at most, and you can revoke it or replace it with a new link at any time; only one link per request works at a time. It does not work while the request is completed, cancelled or archived, while nothing is left to answer, or while your plan does not include secure links; an unexpired link works again if that changes, so revoke any link you no longer want used. DPPLogic does not send the link: you share it through your own email or supplier channel. The supplier can answer some items now and the rest later, say that an item cannot be provided, send corrections and name the source of each answer; files cannot be uploaded. Each answer becomes a proposed product value, with the named source recorded as evidence, and waits for review. Nothing is accepted automatically, and no requirement is resolved and nothing becomes READY because an answer was submitted. The link shows that an answer came through it, not who sent it: DPPLogic does not verify the identity of the person using a link.

Bulk work: assign owners, set due dates and assign reviewers for up to 100 items at a time, and assess up to 100 products at a time, with every change shown before it is made. Evidence and product values are never accepted in bulk.

Audit trail export: a ZIP of CSV files and a printable report showing how each product's dataset was recorded and reviewed, including who recorded and who reviewed each item, when, whether the review was independent, and under which review policy. People appear by account email only to owners and admins. Supplier contact details and internal notes on products and actions are not included; evidence notes, such as where a document is held, are.

4. What is not included

DPPLogic does not currently provide any of the following, on any plan.

Certification of compliance, legal advice, or a legal decision about which rules apply to your products.

Publication of public passports, hosting of passport pages, QR codes, or a resolver or registry service.

Runtime AI processing: DPPLogic does not use runtime AI to process your product or evidence data.

Document upload, file storage, scanning or OCR (optical character recognition).

Automatic email to suppliers or team members, including email reminders.

Supplier accounts, supplier sign-in or a supplier portal. A secure response link lets a supplier answer one request without an account; it gives no access to anything else.

A customer API, integrations with other systems, or single sign-on (SSO).

Automatic monitoring of regulatory changes.

Market-specific legal assessments. You can record markets and economic operators as business context, but DPPLogic does not decide which market's rules apply.

If this changes, this page will be updated first.

5. Plans and limits

Every plan, including Free, includes every feature listed under What is included. Professional and Business add the team, bulk and governance tools described above; Business includes the same tools as Professional, with higher limits.

Free: £0. Up to 5 products, 1 team seat, 1 product family and 3 suppliers. For one person evaluating DPPLogic or working alone.

Professional: £149 per month or £1,490 per year. Up to 100 products, 5 team seats, 10 product families and 25 suppliers. For a small team working together: the team, bulk and governance tools, with higher operating limits.

Business: £399 per month or £3,990 per year. Up to 2,000 products, 15 team seats, 100 product families and 250 suppliers. For a larger team or product portfolio: the same tools as Professional, with higher limits.

Subscriptions are available in GBP, EUR and USD. The selected currency is the currency charged. DPPLogic is not VAT registered, so no VAT is added: the price shown is the amount charged. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Limits apply per organisation, and each paid subscription covers one organisation. A team seat is an active member of the organisation; open invitations also count towards the seat limit until they are accepted, revoked or expire.

When a limit is reached, you cannot add more of that item until usage is below the limit or the organisation moves to a higher plan. Existing data stays available to read and export.

If an organisation moves from Professional or Business to Free, the team, bulk and governance tools are no longer available for new work, and everything already recorded stays available to read and export. An independent review policy stays in force until an owner switches back to standard review.

To keep the service reliable, the same technical limits apply on every plan. For example: up to 10,000 active records of each record type per organisation, up to 25 items in one supplier request package, exports delivered in pages of up to 1,000 records, import files of up to 2,000 rows, bulk changes of up to 100 items and multi-product requests of up to 25 products.

Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. Billing, plan changes, cancellation and refunds are described in the Terms of Service (https://pilot.dpplogic.com/legal/terms/#plans-billing).

Approved currency prices: Professional: GBP £149 per month or £1,490 per year; EUR €179 per month or €1,790 per year; USD US$199 per month or US$1,990 per year. Business: GBP £399 per month or £3,990 per year; EUR €479 per month or €4,790 per year; USD US$529 per month or US$5,290 per year.

6. Requirement packs

DPPLogic assesses products against requirement packs: lists of data fields that DPPLogic has prepared for a product category. There are currently three: batteries (8 fields, at research stage and not yet checked against the full legal requirements for battery passports), textiles and apparel (7 fields) and iron and steel (7 fields).

Requirement packs are preparation checklists. Their sources have not been reviewed by a lawyer or a regulator, they may not include every requirement that applies to your product, and they do not decide whether a law applies to you.

7. What READY means

READY is an internal status in your workspace. A package can be marked READY only after its passport draft has been reviewed, the package has been checked against its current sources with no blocking issues, and an owner, admin or manager has confirmed it with a reason. The package is sealed with a SHA-256 digest so that later changes can be detected.

READY means your team has completed its own review of that dataset in DPPLogic. It does not mean that the product complies with any law, that the data is complete or correct, or that any authority has approved it.

READY does not publish anything. DPPLogic does not create a public passport, QR code or resolver entry. A package may contain an internal passport identifier; it is not registered anywhere and does not lead to a public page.

You decide whether and how to use an exported dataset, for example by giving it to your passport provider or your customer.

8. Preparation is not legal compliance

DPPLogic helps you organise and review information. It does not give legal advice, certify compliance, verify supplier claims, or check the content behind an evidence link. You remain responsible for your product data, your regulatory decisions and any passport you publish through another provider.

Assessment results, gaps and READY packages are working tools based on the information your team enters. Take professional advice where the law or your customers require it.

DPPLogic records who recorded and who reviewed each decision. On Professional and Business, an owner can turn on independent review so that nobody accepts information they recorded or changed. With standard review, which is the default and the only option on Free, DPPLogic does not stop the same person from recording and accepting an item; the review history and the audit trail show when that happened.

9. Communication and your data

DPPLogic does not send email on your behalf. Invitations use one-time codes that an owner or admin passes on directly, secure response links are shared by you through your own channel, and notifications appear only inside the workspace.

DPPLogic does not open, download or check the content behind evidence links.

How DPPLogic handles personal data is described in the Privacy Notice (https://pilot.dpplogic.com/legal/privacy/) and the Cookies notice (https://pilot.dpplogic.com/legal/cookies/). A Data Processing Agreement for business customers (https://pilot.dpplogic.com/legal/dpa/) is available for review and signature on request.
